1. CONDITIONS

Medical Clearance: All participants must be fit for work to attend this course.

Clothing: Steel cap boots, long sleeve work shirt & long pants must be work. KITA will provide a hard hat for the duration of the course. No jewellery is to be worn.

Refreshments: Tea and coffee will be provided. Lunch bars and cafes are located in a close proximity.

Age Requirements: The minimum age to complete a High Risk Licence is 18 years old on the date of assessment.

Photo ID: Photo ID must be presented when signing into the course. It is a Worksafe requirement that all High Risk Licences require two forms of ID (one type primary ID & one type secondary ID)

2. ENROLMENT & PAYMENT

Course enrolment can be completed online via the kitraining.com.au website or over the phone on (08) 9262 9696.

All courses that incur a fee of up to $1500 must be paid in full at the time of booking. Courses over $1500 will require a deposit at the time of booking and balance to be paid in full on the first day of training.

Payment can be made by Credit Card, Eftpos, Purchase Orders, Bank Transfer or Cheque. All payments made by Bank Transfer or Cheque must be received 2 business days prior to course commencement.

3. REFUND POLICY

PLEASE NOTE: Our assessor’s time will be allocated to you as per the courses ordered. Should you need to cancel your order the following conditions will apply;

Less than 48 hours (2 business days) notice prior to course commencement 50% of the fee will be charged
Less than 24 hours (1 business days) notice prior to course commencement 100% of the fee will be charged
Participants arriving later than the course commencement time and not permitted into the course 100% of the fee will be charged
Cancellation by KITA
KITA reserves the right to cancel courses at short notice should the need arise
All payments will be refunded

4. POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Access & Equity Policy: KITA is committed to integrating access & equity principles within all the services we provide to our clients. All staff recognise the rights of learners and provides information, advice and support that are consistent with our Code of Practice. Regardless of cultural background, gender, sexuality, disability or age you have the right to learn in an environment that is free from discrimination and harassment and to be treated in a fair and considerate manner while you are studying with us. If, at any time, you feel that any staff member is not abiding by our Code of Practice we advise you to report your complaints or grievance to your supervisor/trainer, or anyone in our organisation, or simply complete our complaints and appeals form.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): Students can apply for exemptions from units contained within a course where they can demonstrate that they have the relevant skills or knowledge. These skills or knowledge may have been obtained from prior study (especially in similar courses) or even from life experience. Recognition of prior learning is a way of recognising these skills and knowledge. Obviously the prior learning must be relevant to a course of study offered by KITA You must provide documentary evidence of your prior learning for each unit you claim an exemption, and be assessed by the course manager or a panel established by KITA. Learner Needs: Students that may need extra support during training are encouraged to discuss any difficulties prior to course commencement. We aim to provide support and help for any learning difficulties, including language, literacy and numeracy and we will also monitor the needs of our learner’s through the learning process. If at any time we feel a learner requires any assistance we will either provide this support, measure or tailor learning and assessment techniques to match learner needs. Please note that while we strive to meet learner needs, we can not guarantee that all needs can be met.

Code of Conduct: Course participants are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that ensures the safety and welfare of KITA staff and other students for the duration of their training. Care should be taken with the equipment and facilities at all times. Should this code of conduct not be adhered to, participants may be requested by management to leave the premises.

Complaints Procedure: All complaints & appeals will be handled fairly, effectively and efficiently. If at any time during the course that you are attending you are unhappy with any aspect of the course then a complaint may be lodged. To lodge a complaint, you must complete a Complaints Form which can be obtained from the trainer or administration staff. Once completed, the complaints form will be passed on to the RTO Manager who will attempt to resolve the issue within 24 hours. If the matter is unable to be resolved or you are unhappy with the outcome the complaint will be escalated to the Chief Executive Officer of KITA. Appeals Procedure: Any participant who is not satisfied with the outcome of their assessment may make an appeal. This appeal should be made to the RTO Manager. The appeal period is 10 business days from the completion of a final assessment. An appointment will be arranged with the RTO Manager to discuss the appeal.
