Asbestos Removal Course (For the Telecommunication Industry)
This course has been designed to provide you with the knowledge and practical skills to safely prepare, contain and remove non-friable ACM, plus knowledge of decontamination and disposal requirements. The course is specifically for those currently working in the Telecommunication Industry. The course is based on the National Unit of Competency: CPCCDE3014 – Remove Non-Friable Asbestos
This comprehensive one-day course can be completed at our purpose-built training facility in Perth.
Please note that this course has been designed through close collaboration with NBN, Fulton Hogan and Comcare. The aim is to ensure that successful participants understand, and can carry out, all the specific safety and practical requirements of people working in the Telecommunications field who carry out asbestos pit removals.
This course has a relative asbestos removal course.
WHAT DOES THE REMOVE ASBESTOS COURSE (FOR THE TELECOMMUNICATION INDUSTRY) INCLUDE?
On completion of the course, participants will have the skills required to remove non-friable asbestos-containing material (ACM). The course content includes the following elements:
- Prepare for asbestos removal.
- Prepare asbestos removal site.
- Set up asbestos work area.
- Remove non-friable asbestos.
- Carry out decontamination process.
- Clean up the work area.
- Complete regulatory processes
PREREQUISITES & COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Participants on this course must be at least 18 years of age and should have basic English Language and literacy skills. The course is only for those working in the Telecommunication industry with a current Whitecard. A photo ID (passport or drivers licence) must be shown.
On successful completion of the course, participants will be issued with a KI Training and Assessing Certificate/Statement of Attainment. This course is a Nationally Accredited Course.
