PURPOSE:

This course has been designed to provide you with the critical safety aspects of identifying, locating and protecting underground services and utilities prior to the commencement of works on site. The course is specifically for those currently working with Telecommunication NBN projects.

The course is based on the National Unit of Competency: RIICCM202E – Identify, Locate and Protect Underground Services.

This comprehensive half-day course can be completed at our purpose-built training facility in Perth.

What does the Identify, locate and protect underground services course include?
On completion of the course, participants will have the skills required to safely Identify, locate and protect underground services. The course content includes the following elements:

  • Prepare to identify, locate and protect underground services
  • Identify and locate underground services
  • Protect underground services
  • Conduct housekeeping activities

PREREQUISITES & COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

Participants on this course should have basic English Language and literacy skills. A photo ID (passport or drivers licence) must be shown. Note that the course is specifically for those currently working with Telecommunication NBN projects.

CERTIFICATION:

On successful completion of the course, participants will be issued with a KI Training and Assessing Certificate/Statement of Attainment. This course is a Nationally Accredited Course.
