PURPOSE:

This Perth-based training course is designed for participants to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at the basic level, based on the National High Risk Work Licence Unit of Competency: “CPCCLSF2001A – Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding basic level”.

This comprehensive five day course involves both theory and practical components and can be completed at our training centre in Perth.

Participants who are successful in the completion of this training course will be at an advantage to secure a scaffolding role within the industrial, construction, mining, oil and gas sectors.

WHAT IS BASIC SCAFFOLDING?

There are three levels of scaffolding licences: basic, intermediate and advanced.

Basic scaffolding work consists of scaffolding work connected with the operation or use of modular or pre-fabricated scaffolds, cantilevered materials hoists with a maximum working load of 500kg, ropes and gin wheels, safety nets and static lines, and bracket scaffolds (tank and formwork) for licensing purposes.

WHAT DOES THE BASIC SCAFFOLDING COURSE COVER?

On completion of this course, participants will be able to undertake planning and preparing, erecting and dismantling of modular scaffolding, inspecting, repairing, and altering of modular scaffolding. This includes:

  • Planning for the job
  • Selecting and inspecting appropriate scaffold and associated equipment
  • Setting up the task and preparing scaffold and associated equipment for erection
  • Erecting scaffold and scaffold equipment
  • Dismantling scaffold and scaffold equipment

PREREQUISITES & COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Persons must be 18 years of age or older
  • Photo ID must be presented i.e. current drivers licence or passport
  • Basic numeracy skills
  • Basic English language and literacy skills

CERTIFICATION & BASIC SCAFFOLDING TICKET:

On successful completion of this scaffolding training course, persons will receive a Statement of Attainment and Notice of Assessment which is valid for 60 days. Once a copy of your Statement of Attainment, Worksafe application and Worksafe fee has been submitted to the relevant state or territory regulator you will receive a National High Risk Work Licence.

This scaffolding course has an intermediate and advanced level.

*Note – The course price does not include the Worksafe application fee of $115*

KITA can lodge your Worksafe application for High Risk Work Licence for $115, this includes and administration fee. Two passport photos will need to be provided
