PURPOSE:

This Perth-based training course is designed for participants to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at the Advanced level, based on the National High Risk Work Licence Unit of Competency: “CPCCLSF4001 – Licence to Erect, Alter and Dismantle Scaffolding Advanced Level”.

This comprehensive three day course involves both theory and practical components and can be completed at our training centre in Perth.

Participants who are successful in the completion of this training course will be at an advantage to secure a scaffolding role within the industrial, construction, mining, oil and gas sectors.

WHAT IS ADVANCED SCAFFOLDING?

There are three levels of scaffolding licences: basic, intermediate and advanced. The Basic licence covers basic prefabricated scaffolds and barrow hoists, the Intermediate licence covers basic scaffolding work and tube-and-coupler scaffolding and the Advanced licence covers all types of scaffolds.

WHAT DOES THE ADVANCED SCAFFOLDING COURSE COVER?

This unit specifies the outcomes required to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at the Advanced level. Advanced Scaffolding consists of all intermediate scaffolding work including all other scaffolding work connected with the use and operation of Hung scaffolds and Suspended scaffolds for licensing purposes.
Includes all intermediate scaffolding, plus:

  • Cantilevered hoists
  • Hung scaffolds, including scaffolds hanging from tubes, wire ropes or chains
  • Suspended scaffolds

PREREQUISITES & COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must hold a current Intermediate Scaffolding licence: Licence to erect,alter and dismantle scaffolding intermediate level
    • This course is designed for experienced Scaffolders that already hold a Scaffold Intermediate (SI) High Risk Work Licence. KI Training and Assessing strongly recommend you have sufficient industry exposure using the intermediate level scaffold systems before attempting to upgrade to advanced.
  • Persons must be 18 years of age or older
  • Photo ID must be presented i.e. current drivers licence or passport
  • Basic numeracy skills
  • Basic English language and literacy skills

CERTIFICATION & ADVANCED SCAFFOLDING TICKET:

On successful completion of this scaffolding training course, persons will receive a Statement of Attainment and Notice of Assessment which is valid for 60 days. Once a copy of your Statement of Attainment, Worksafe application and Worksafe fee has been submitted to the relevant state or territory regulator you will receive a National High Risk Work Licence.

This scaffolding course has a basic and intermediate level.

*Note – The course price does not include the Worksafe application fee of $115
